Lake Forest Open Lands Association has partnered with Access Ability Wisconsin (AAW) to become the first host location in Illinois for an AAW all-terrain outdoor wheelchair (OWC) and trailer for use at our preserves and in our community. 

Reserve the outdoor wheelchair for free use at a Lake Forest Open Lands' preserve or reserve it along with the enclosed AAW trailer to tow to another site. A deposit is required.

  • When clicking on the link above, scroll down and view the calendar to see the availability of the outdoor wheelchair from our host location at LFOLA.
  • Complete the online reservation request form and submit all required documents and $50 deposit*
  • On the reservation request form in the section "Please provide WI DNR Customer # of person checking out the outdoor wheelchair(s)" please fill in LFOLA in lieu of this number. NOTE: when transporting this hosted equipment for use in Wisconsin, wht WI DNR CID# is required (this is free and easy to obtain).

*  Any reservation requests needed sooner than 7 days prior to checkout will require a $10 non-refundable fee. Your $50 deposit is completely refundable after completing the online survey within 3 days of returning the equipment without damage. Please see AAW’s Policy for further details including organizational use.
