Greene Nature Preserve opened Monday, March 6!

Because the Greene Nature Preserve contains rare ravine, bluff, and lakeshore natural communities, as well as state endangered and threatened native plant species parking is limited.

Overflow parking is available at the north end of the Fort Sheridan train station parking lot which is located at the northwest corner of Sheridan and Old Elm. Please remember that the City of Lake Forest does not allow parking east of Sheridan Road. 

Gate access is available to Lake Forest Open Lands members OR Lake Forest residents by ordering a small sticker for $15 per vehicle. 

Additionally, there is unlimited pedestrian access via the McClory bike path with ample bike racks for parking at the Preserve entrance.

Gate access is available to Lake Forest Open Lands members OR Lake Forest residents by ordering a small sticker for $15 per vehicle. 

Stickers attach to your car (either on the drivers-side headlight or drivers-side upper windshield) and will be read by the gate.

Additionally, there is unlimited pedestrian access via the McClory bike path with ample bike racks for parking at the Preserve entrance.

Please note that you will be asked to agree to our Greene Nature Preserve Parking Release, Waiver and Indemnity Agreement at checkout. No refunds. Your sticker will not expire as long as you are a current LFOLA member or Lake Forest resident.
