Exploring Native American Perspectives of Nature
Mellody Farm Nature Preserve
Monday July 26 - Friday, July 30
9:00 a.m. - noon
The history of our land and its care goes back many hundreds of years. This special week-long camp for children and students of all ages explores our important connections to nature through first-hand knowledge of Native American story-telling and activities. With the guidance of Native tribal elders and educators, we will build shelters, learn to read the land, engage in Native craft traditions and experience the edible and medicinal prairie. Throughout the week, our connections to the land and its meaning to our lives will grow.
