Mellody Farm Nature Preserve
Ages 6-17
Monday-Friday | July 26-30
9:00 a.m.-noon

The history of our land and its care goes back many hundreds of years. This special week-long camp for children and students of all ages explores our important connections to nature through first-hand knowledge of Native American story-telling and activities. With the guidance of Native tribal elders and educators, we will

  • Build shelters and explore an authentic teepee
  • Explore the four elements of life: water, air, land and fire
  • Read the land through the eyes of the animals and birds
  • Learn Native craft traditions and games
  • Taste the edible and medicinal prairie
  • Hear stories of times past and present as we create our own

Throughout the week, our connections to the land and its meaning to our lives will grow.
