We are suspending our Birding Walks for the rest of the summer. Now that the weather is warm and you have been introduced to our beautiful preserves and the amazing birds that pass through our green corridor, we encourage you to walk them with your binoculars and view all that is out there at your leisure. We look forward to starting up again in the fall. Watch this webpage for further details.

Start your day with fresh air and bird songs! A different and experienced birder will guide us each week as we stroll through the preserves.

Interested bird watchers of all ability levels are invited to join us on these special early morning walks.

Bring your binoculars! Limit 8 bird watchers per week. Registration is required.

Kick off National Pollinator’s Week by getting to know the buzz about bees and other pollinators. Krissa Skogen, Conservation Scientist at the Chicago Botanic Garden, will talk about how these hard-working animals help pollinate our flowering plants and crops. We may not often notice the hummingbirds, bats, bees, beetles, butterflies, and flies that carry pollen from one plant to another as they collect nectar.
